September's here, !
While this has been a year like no other, we are finally getting back to normalcy as our new COVID infected numbers in NY state continue to stay below 1%.
So Yes! there are local events on the calendar again, and I even have a new Restaurant information service on the way as well. Not only will we be getting
you back out safely to Date Nights, Family events, and fun with Friends but we will also be providing important info about Local Eateries: Are they Open or Closed? Are there new hours? Do they now offer Delivery? Takeout? Or Curbside Pickup? Indoor Seating? Outdoor Seating?
All things you want to know before showing up to your favorite place and Uh Oh - they can't accommodate you or maybe they are even Closed. More info on that coming soon in our Facebook Group, but you can join the conversation about your favorite places there daily.
We make sure you don't miss any of the great Events this month, by bringing you a preview of the best of September 2020!
See You Around Town,
Ryan

Open Air and Farmer's Markets
|
Bad News first: Unfortunately at this time it appears as if the Amityville, Lindenhurst, Farmingdale and Wyandanch-based farmers market are not participating this season because of COVID-19.
However, while the coronavirus has changed the way we go to the farmer’s market, with increased social distancing, a limited number of people behind each booth, and mask-wearing requirements, at least three farmer’s markets can be visited locally every weekend.
The Good News: The Open Air market at American Venice in Lindenhurst is a new addition, and the Deer Park and Babylon Farmer’s markets are still available for your fresh produce, local goods and crafts. Also, the Long Island Pop-up Vegan market visits Amityville every now and then, so check back with the calendar regularly to find out where and when it will be.

Have you been missing going out to fun family events? Well we have some notable ones coming up this month even as the kids go back to
school (in whatever format that will take this year). These outdoor events which are suitable for all ages can be enjoyed safely as they are being held outdoors.
If you're adventurous you can go swinging at the Adventure Park at Long Island and run thru their obstacle course. Kids Need More is hosting an outdoor Movie night featuring Jumanji - The Next Level and, if you are a Dog lover the Paws for Prevention charity is an event the
whole family can enjoy and contribute to.

Ever since last year when Almost Queen shut down Montauk Highway at the Town of Babylon Concert Series we have been waiting to see them return for another performance. Their appearance at the AdventureLand Drive-in Series is just one of the many concerts and other nightlife event that
have slowly been returning to the calendar. Some of them a little more risky/risqué than others. 😉

Local Business and Networking
|
We support local here at I Love Babylon and as a result we want to highlight local business networking events that are happening with our Chambers of Commerce this month. The General Meetings are open to the public so you may make new connections, get involved in community planning and
enjoy light refreshments.
