Veteran's Day Weekend ~ Nov 11 to 13, 2016

Happy Veterans Day!

First we want to thank all the Veterans, both active and retired for their service to our country. We owe you a great debt of gratitude.

The Argyle in Babylon is providing free meals for our esteemed servicemen and women on Veteran’s Day – just bring your military ID. IHOP, Olive Garden, Panera Bread and Applebee’s are also offering free meals. To further show your support for our veterans go and cheer them on at the Ninth Annual Long Island Run for the Warriors which begins at 9 AM on Saturday at the Town Hall in Lindenhurst.

This weekend the countdown to Thanksgiving begins with the Taste of Thanksgiving Event at Stew Leonard’s which begins on Friday with Martha Stewart from 4 PM to 6 PM and then goes thru Sunday.

There is quite a bit of entertainment including the J Haus Band at the Post Office Café, the Little Shop of Horrors at Farmingdale State College and CosPlay Bowling in Farmingdale – and that’s just Friday – there are Concerts and other fun social events throughout the weekend.

Also of special note: You can do some fundraising at the Courage for Cassidy event in West Babylon because that is for a great cause for a sweet little girl, and after this past election week we might all need to check out the World Peace Meditation at the Yoga Darshana Center.

And while you are out, I want to remind you: the Farmer's Markets are ALMOST gone - please support our local farmers.
