How
was your weekend? I bet if you got out and about to any of last weekend's events it was fun! This week looks promising too, although there are not as many events, but there are quality events scheduled.
Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month you should definitely look out for and support events from our Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition. Their volunteers perform selfless acts of kindness and charity and provide much needed support to our residents in the fight, as well as their families and support systems. This Thursday, for example, they are holding their Pageant of Hope Ceremony at Babylon Town Hall.
For those who celebrate, L'shanah
Tova to you! You might want to check out the holiday meals being held at the
Melville Marriott Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, and of note there is a Little Black Dress Party in Babylon Village, Big band music in Lindenhurst as well as a tribute to Nirvana. For those who would like to show off their own talent there is an Open Mic Night at One Main.
Learn something new: For the business oriented there is a Women in Business
panel in Farmingdale, and Judy Markowitz is holding a Real Estate Breakfast Seminar in Babylon. Ketsugo Martial Arts is providing a self-defense demonstration in Lindenhurst and The Deer Park library is hosting a Plumbing for Dummies workshop that will definitely come in handy during the winter months.
For fun there's a bowling tournament at Strike 10 Lanes, video game tournaments at Aon Gaming, and a meeting of the SkiDaddlers.
Let's make it a great one!
