Hear the drums. Feel the Connection. The Pow wow is this weekend.
Happy Friday ,
It’s the kind of summer weekend that gives main character energy. You could start with yoga by the lighthouse, adopt a kitten by noon, rock out to a Beatles tribute in the evening — and still have time for ice cream and a boat cruise. With over 60 events happening from Amityville to Wheatley Heights, the Town of Babylon is absolutely lit.
Let’s break it down by day…
Now in its 43rd year, the Paumanauke Pow Wow is an incredible cultural celebration hosted at Tanner Park in Copiague. Enjoy two days of traditional drumming, dancing, delicious native food, artisan vendors, and immersive cultural education. It’s family-friendly, interactive, and a beautiful way to celebrate Indigenous heritage on the South Shore. We did a deep dive on it and you can see that here. Don’t miss this vibrant community gathering!
📽️ VIDEO: 2 Big Events from the Deer Park Chamber this August Join us for an exciting live interview with the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce as we dive into the upcoming events and
initiatives happening in Deer Park this August! In this episode of I Love Babylon LIVE, we'll be discussing the Summer Soirée and Annual Golf Outing, as well as the important causes the Chamber supports through these community events.
🎬 South Bay’s screen game this weekend? Straight blockbuster buffet. You’ve got body swaps, badass squads, and a
stretchy superhero fam making their MCU debut. First up: Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back in Freakier Friday, flipping lives and snatching laughs with chaotic Gen Z energy. Ready for something darker? Weapons is not for the faint
of heart — think sinister mystery + razor-sharp violence + a twisted puzzle that’ll have you checking behind your shower curtain. The kiddos (and honestly, the rest of us) can roll with The Bad Guys 2, where the world’s slickest animal criminals are trying to go good — again — but with explosions. Want something classic yet absolutely unhinged? The Naked Gun reboot is here, and Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin is the wildcard you didn’t know you needed. And Marvel fans, assemble — The Fantastic Four: First Steps is finally here with Pedro Pascal & crew stretching, flaming, and invisibling their way
into Phase Whatever.

💌 That’s a Wrap — But the Memories? They’re Forever.
If you made it this far, you’re clearly one of the real ones. Whether you danced till dark, hit the beach with your crew, or just bookmarked events for later, know this — Babylon’s got something for YOU, every weekend, all year.
New here? Been here? Thinking about
starting something here? This town is what we make it — together. So don’t be shy. Show up. Speak out. And always feel free to tag along with the fam at ILoveBabylon.com 🫶

you out there,
